The Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority was created by Chapter 58 of the Acts of 2006.It is an independent state agency helping citizens find an insurance plan that is right for them. The agency promotes insurance coverage for the uninsured with affordable plans. The Authority’s program has made Massachusetts a model in the United States for health care reform.
